Just a thought: If you aren't content where you're at, doing what you're doing right now, than you won't ever be content. Is this true? Maybe a nugget of truth, but not totally true? What do you think?
BTW: I'm up at UCSC taking an astronomy class & then headed to the junior college for my Ultimate Frisbee class. Having a mobile office is...what Jesus did!!! "Bad church office, Bad!!" Where the people at?

Yes, and no.
I guess I would have to distinguish between that holy sense of dissatisfaction with 'the way things are' that drives us towards God's vision for the future of this world, and our future within it; and a misguided desire to find comfort in our circumstances instead of in Jesus.
I'm talking about the second definition; trying to find satisfaction in anything other than who we are in Christ, which isn't easy!
I learned that my contentment is not based on what I am doing to earn money, but on what I am doing in response to God's love. Because when I am living my life in response to God's love, then the other things don't matter so much.
I like this quote on contentment: "Contentment is not freedom from desire, but freedom of desire. Being content is not pretending that everything is the way you wish it would be; it is not acting as though you have no wishes. Rather, it is no longer being ruled by your desires." -John Eldridge, Desire
Thanks Jenn, your thoughts are appreciated. Making God the ultimate desire of my heart, which will redefine everything in my life, including "success," is what it's all about.
